JD Vance and Trump have chosen to attack Tim Walz claiming that he lied when he said he carried an AR 15 like weapon in war when he actually had no combat experience. Apart from the fact that he technically was at war by being in Italy and training for going to Afghanistan the irony is that he was at risk as an artillery noncom for the 24 years that he was in the National Guard while JD Vance was nothing more than a clerical paper pusher for the four years he was in the Marine Corps. As an artillery soldier, Walz was constantly training with high-powered weapons that could easily have killed him while Vance was at risk for a paper cut. On top of that Trump lied his way out of Vietnam by getting a podiatrist to claim he had bone spurs when I doubt that the podiatrist even examined him. When Trump was asked, he couldn’t remember which foot he was supposed to have had the bone spurs in.
When I was in the Marine Corps reserve, for most of that time I was in an artillery battalion working with the same type of artillery that Walz was dealing with. For some of that time, I was a forward observer and in my training artillery shells containing high energy explosives or white phosphorus that would burn your skin of If it touched you, would be fired over your head and I would be reporting whether they were near hitting the target and radio back corrections. I know that there are ways that you can be killed working with artillery including shells that hang up and explode, misfires and all types of friendly fire.

Donald Trump is a coward who equated his sexual exploits with the danger faced by our troops in Vietnam. JD Vance never touched a weapon once he got out of Boot Camp. Who the hell do these men think they are criticizing someone who spent 24 years of his life putting his safety at risk for our country?
Every day that Trump was president I woke up in disbelief that we possibly could have elected this charlatan as our president. It baffles me that more than 40% of our country want him back in the White House but I have confidence that is not going to happen.
